I don’t know much about this title yet, but if this teaser trailer is any indication it will surely kick a sizeable portion of ass. I’ll update this post with more info as soon as I have more time to play around on the official website (www.ironsky.net).
[Update (5.12.2008):]Man, the more I watch this trailer the more I love it. That song is so moving. Crazyness. Anyway, the reason for this update is so that I can lay a bit more info regarding Iron Sky on you guys. This is the follow-up film to Energia Productions’, Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning, which is credited as the most successful feature-length movie ever to be released solely online (atleast in it’s initial run). Iron Sky will supposedly be a dark comedy with production values similar to the SciFi films of the fifties. Think that sounds great? There’s more. Star Wreck was penned and filmed entirely in Finnish, and watching it with subtitles sucks so much ass it’s painful (though I swear that I’ll suffer through it when I get the time). Thankfully, this time around, Energia will be filming in English and — apparently — German. The script is being penned by Johanna Sinisalo, an award-winning Finnish author. One other tidbit that I read was that production has been in effect since 2006… and they’re still in pre-production! That would normally strike some as odd, but it supposedly took Energia over five years to complete Star Wreck, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Iron Sky doesn’t hit the interwebs for atleast another three years (though I would guess that it will take longer than that).
…end gigantic paragraph that should probably be several… blogger doesn’t care about sentence structure anymore.
That’s it for now. Email me with other questions or check out the official website (which was down at the time of this blog entry).
We’re back from our California vacation… what could be more depressing? There is nothing that sucks harder than coming home from a long vacation and having to deal with reality again. Blech. Oh well, atleast I took a *&^% load of pictures… over 1,000 total, and I’m not kidding. You can imagine how difficult it was for me to pick and choose which images to display here. I’ve been at it all day, and after my many hours of hunting I have edited and re-sized 18 pictures that I believe will give you guys an idea as to how our vacation went. I’ll display the first five without a break in the post, but you’ll have to click on the more link to view the remaining thirteen… I really don’t want to take up too much space.
Well… enjoy!
Every morning Taran would wake up with this awesome bed-head.
That’s right… I met Batman and his love-slave, Robin. The vacation could have ended there and I would have gone home happy.
Cedric and I on the plane ride… LegoLand style.
Cedric on the joust ride.
Cedric the pirate kills his sister. Things will never be the same again.
Here comes the random picture of Dina and I… drinking large beers in Disneyworld’s Epcot Center…

Okay… I’ve put my random picture up.
We’ve been to Disneyworld, and now we’re going to Disneyland with the kids. We’re very excited about this vacation because it will reunite us with Dina’s parents and grandmother, who live in California. Cedric and I have highlighted the 18th on our calendar (this is the day that we depart), and we’ve been counting the days every morning. Since we only seem capable of affording a vacation like this once every two years, you can imagine our excitement. Add to that the fact that Cedric is now tall enough to go on every ride except for the Indianna Jones Adventures. You can’t see it, but I’ve been overcome by an A.D.D. attack.
As I said prior to our departure for our last Disney vacation: I’m not too sorry to say that there will be no more posts from me until I get back.
Expect a post similar to my post-disneyworld trip with pictures from our California experience to come near the beginning of May.
This post was meant to go up on the 14th, but I didn’t have a picture editor on this new laptop to format the picture below. Here you go… a “new” post… from the past.
3.14.2008:
So… about two weeks ago I used a small chunk of my student loan disbursement to buy myself a new laptop for my Computer Technology class build. While my step-son, Taran urged me to go with an Alienware machine (mostly geared toward… well, only gaming), I decided to go with something alot more practical… something that I can use in-class for the next three or four years with a mega-warranty backing it up. So… I followed my own instincts… instead of listening to the doofus.
Today my computer arrived and I’ve been messing around with it since. As you can see in the picture below, my little man has been very interested in it as well… and my dog is a moron (as I continue to maintain here… you’ve seen the pictures).
My Aunt Kristen took this picture of me at Funtown USA in Saco, Maine this summer. I felt that it is a perfect way to lead off this post. I don’t have much to say other than this:
I’m 26 now… big deal.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL! I hope that you are having a great holiday season. I also hope that you are with your family. There is no better way to spend the holidays… or so I keep telling myself (so deluded).
