My Son Knows Computers

There are some things about my son, Cedric (the Skull Shirt post for example) that require posting here, and this is certainly one of them!

A few weeks ago my wife sent me an email at work, telling me all about how the little man had been on pbskids.org playing games all day. I didn’t think much of it until I actually saw him on this site, using the mouse all on his own! The thing that really grabbed me was how precise he was about clicking on things, and how he actually understood when to click-and-drag during these games!

My boy is so smart. He’s sitting beside me right now on his mother’s computer, playing games about Teletubbies and (I’m scared) the Boo Bahs. These games are so educational it’s crazy. The one he is doing right now allows him to augment different tones and what not in a song that the (I’m scared) Boo Bahs are dancing to. I couldn’t be more proud of my son!

I’ll leave you guys with one more picture of my little man in the zone

One more thing: If you don’t know what I’m talking about when I mention the Boo Bahs, consider yourself lucky. I’ll not open my site up to some gypsy curse, or taint it in any other way by placing a Boo Bah link here.

He is MY boy! You can call him “brother.” Nothing else.

BOOOOO BAAAAAAAH! LOL! He is soooooo cute! I love watching him play on that site. He loves it! He tells every one that he wants to go on to pbs.org. Sometimes that’s the only motivation to get him to do something when he’s being defiant. LOL!

Boo Bah scares me, Acme. If our son wasn’t so interested in it I would never have brought it up on this blog!

Boo Bah scares me too! LOL! What the heck are those little aliens saying anyway? It is so wonderful to see kids learn. Jakob has his own computer now and gets up every morning turns it on…logs in and opens internet explorer. Then he clicks on his favorites where I have stored all of his favorite sites. He requires no help on the computer anymore. It is amazing to me. I am glad I decided to teach him how to use the computer. I wasn’t sure that he would be able to but he proved he could. I think alot of people underestimate how intelligent kids this age are and what they are capable of.

Go Cedric…Auntie T is proud of you!

(Just a little side note, I had to disable the ability to print on Jakob’s computer because I swear I was always running out of ink and paper. He figured out how to print all by himself…that little stinker!)

LOL! That is too funny! The next generation is going to be crazy trying to keep up with.

That’s it, Tina! The only way for us to settle the “Whose Son Is Better On The Computer” war is to set up a steel cage outside of my house with two computers in it. Cedric and Jakob go in, but only one of them comes back out!

Welcome to THUNDER DOME, kids!
