Giving Thanks
November 23rd, 2006 Chasing The Dream

This has been a rocky year for my family and I. I haven’t exactly been the best person to be around as various things have blown up in my face, and other truths that I had ignored have demanded my attention. I have no idea where my screenplay or books may be going, nor do I have a clue as to when I’m actually going to settle into a job that truly is for me. But for the first time in what seems like an eternity I’m okay with it all.

This year I am thankful that I finally have begun to discipline myself in the area of patience. Although my wife would argue that I am still a shaky freak when it comes to waiting for her to pick out clothes in a department store, as far as the big picture is concerned I have come to realize that it is stupid for me to believe that I am going to get my work out there quickly. I’m okay with that.

I will be patient; balance my writing and my family time… with a little World of Warcraft mixed in from time to time! Hehehe.

I hope that you all have a great Thanksgiving. Take this day to appreciate what you have, and love the family you are breaking bread with. Sometimes in this crazy world we lose sight of what is truly important… most important. Family. I would be nothing without mine.

I’m thankful for life and good health. This year has been hard for many in this family. We have had a few loved ones in the hospital. We have been blessed to still have us all here and doing well.
I’m thankful for my husband and kids. They are my rock. I’m proud of all of them. Earl you have had a lot to deal with this year and you have grown and learned from it. You have made this year the best for us. With out your hard work we wouldn’t be where we are today. I love you!
I’m thankful for my long time friend who I shared my whole life with. She has been there through thick and thin. She is a beautiful person and I feel lucky to have her as my best friend. I could go on and on about how proud of her I am, but I should keep this short and sweet. :)
I’m thankful for my parents and grandparents. They have shown me unconditional love and support through out my life.

I love you all!

Tina: Waiting for yours, and all should know that you are who Acme speaks of as her friend. Though we’ve never met, I love you too! Hope to meet you at the debut of my movie… WHEN it happens.

Oh my gosh, Acme that was so beatifully written. I too am so thankful that I have you in my life. There are few that have a bond/friendship as we do and I am truly blessed. In fact…I don’t think I know anyone who has that.

I am also especially thankful that the democrats rule the house and the senate…sorry had to get that in there. But really that was a major milestone this year!

Earl…I love you too man! I can’t wait till the day we can all get together and laugh so hard we beg each other to shut up so that we can simply get a small breath to relieve the belly aching laughing pain. That is said with much love. Dina and I have experienced that a ton! It hurts but I think it probably adds about 10 years onto your life. I think laughter is the best medicine.:lol::lol::lol:

That said (I am clearly not as good at the elequant wording Acme did up there) I think I am going to head back for a slice of apple and pumpkin pie…vanilla ice cream…ahhhh…I can’t wait.

I love you all! I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. I will be working a ton this weekend so I will likely catch up with you all on Monday! Eat, drink and be Merry…and try to leave the gas in the bath…if you know what I mean…Turkey can be toxic that way!:lol:
