Rest In Peace… Steve Irwin (1962 - 2006)
September 4th, 2006 Current Events

Associated Press (Duh!)

I’ll keep this brief, as I’m sure that you have all read about this on multiple sites, and heard about it in numerous news reports already. Steve Irwin was the brand of crazy guy who I really looked up to for his courage as the well-known Crockidile Hunter. I have to get Dina just to chase away a spider nesting near the light above our kitchen sink! Don’t even get me started on snakes…

Back to Steve though. I find it a bit unsettling to think that he dealt with a variety of dangerous and aggressive animals for his entire adult life, and ended up dead as a result of a stingray attack. How screwed up is that? I find it even more upsetting to note that only three such deadly attacks have been documented by the Australian government in over 68 years!

Rest in Peace, Steve. Fate can be cruel sometimes.

I think this is so sad. I have been sad all day as a result of this. He was great! I feel even worse that he leaves behind two young children. His son may never actually have memories of his dad. I respected him so much and think the world has lost not only a great scientist but a great personality! We should all be as excited about studying life as he was. His wife is from Oregon. Not to far from where we live. I can only imagine what she must be going through at this time.

I agree. He will be greatly missed.

He paved the way for others to follow. The man will always be immotalized as ” The Crocodile Hunter “. He lived an exciting and passionate life. He was very fortunate to do so.
As for his family, my thoughts are with them. I can’t imagine what they are going through right now. To loose some one so suddenly and unexpected like that. :(

He will be missed by those who matter…

Steve Irwin was a professional… that’s why he didn’t die from some snake bite or crock attack. As I said before; fate can be cruel sometimes.
