Smoke-Free for Two Months!
July 13th, 2006 Unrelated Posts

I just wanted to share a milestone with everybody: I have been cigarette free for two months, and I feel GREAT! I didn’t want to bring it up any earlier than this as I was afraid that I might start up again. Thankfully, I am now confident that I have the willpower to never put a Marlboro Light to my lips again. In your face, Phillip Morris!

Okay, I’ve had my moment… now on to a related article that I ran into on MSNBC.com:

Associated Press – WASHINGTON – More women are lighting up cigarettes around the world even as the smoking rate declines for men, activists attending an anti-smoking conference said Thursday.

About 12 percent of women worldwide smoke, and that figure is expected to rise to 20 percent by 2025, according to a report by the International Network of Women Against Tobacco. The group relied on World Health Organization data.

Very interesting if you ask me. You can read the rest of the article here.

Of course… I get eight comments on the random post about Dina, but when it comes to a great accomplishment in my life I hear crickets.

I think that is a huge achievement Earl. I am very proud of you! Josh is going to try to bite that bullet on Jakob’s birthday which is a week from Tuesday. I think quitting smoking can probably be one of the biggest challenges in many peoples lives. Good Job!
