It is a dreary day here on the hill… the cold temperatures and constant rain, coupled with the overcast sky and chilly wind have always proven to be an effective means of temporarily debilitating my creativity. I had planned to start my new book today, but for reasons I imagine are very obvious, I choose to focus on different things.
I am pleased to say that Reverend Ford of Saint Marys Catholic Church in Wells, Maine, has agreed to a private meeting with me. I have spent most of the day going through “The Dominance Flush” (for the umpteenth time) in order to make sure that the passages I have selected to discuss with Father Ford (and Father Colpitts of Saint Christophers Catholic Church) are complete… I have re-read the manuscript several times, and every time I find new elements that would make for good discussion with him. I look forward to our meeting, and am excited to finally be discussing the strong Catholic themes in the book with an actual, ordained priest. Book research, and a background in Catholicism are one thing… sharing my work with one of God’s servants is another. I can’t wait!
I’ll keep this one brief, as I am rather anxious to get back to reviewing The Flush… and I’ll admit that I plan to take a break from my unending work to finally watch a few episodes of The Sopranos fifth season. I’ve waited a long time for it to come out on DVD… but I will limit myself so as not to become distracted from the books… I’ve waited longer for my dreams to come true.
I will soon post another excerpt from “The Dominance Flush” for those who are interested…
